What is the  1st & Ten Club of Alabama?

A select group former athletes, alumni and friends of the University of Alabama who share interest in assisting UA student-athletes prepare for & transition to post-athletic careers. We serve to guide student-athletes who give so much of themselves to athletic programs at the University.

How do I become a member of the  1st & Ten Club of Alabama?

Membership is open to former Crimson Tide athletes, Alumni and friends of the University. Membership is by nomination by a current member, and sponsorship by a total of three current members. Members are expected to be respected professionals who have the time and ability to effectively communicate and engage with student-athletes. Members should be available at “non-optimal” times, adapting to the schedules of college athletes and must actively work to help the Club achieve its goals. When and where are the meetings held for the  1st & Ten Club of Alabama?

Events are generally held in Tuscaloosa or in the Birmingham area. 1st & Ten typically holds three to four events annually. Each event is either focused on helping student-athletes in a one-on-one workshop format, or on helping our members further develop their professional networks.

Small group meetings involving specific career/occupational interests may also be held through the year. These meetings typically take place in Tuscaloosa and are somewhat impromptu depending on the specific needs that arise at different points in time.
